It’s wild how one book can reach into your past and pull out memories you didn’t even know were still alive. Today, reading Steve Jobs’ story, something clicked… and suddenly I was that little girl again—teaching myself, figuring things out alone, falling in love with every piece of technology that came my way.
Books do that. They remind you who you really are. And this one definitely reminded me. If you’re struggling with this part of your journey, my page Can’t Find My Passion breaks it down in a simple way that might help you see things differently.
🌱 Rediscovering My Childhood Passion (Thanks to Steve Jobs)
I’m only on chapter 3 of The Innovation of Steve Jobs, and it’s already unlocking memories I didn’t even realize I had tucked away.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time alone. Not lonely — just happy in my own world.
I taught myself how to roller skate, how to ride a bike, and I talked to myself constantly like my own little coach.
But the moment computers showed up in school?
It was like something inside me lit up.
I was fascinated. I’d stare at those screens like they were magic. Every chance to use one felt like a gift.
And it hit me today:
Every electronic I ever had — phones, old gadgets, even broken stuff — I could never throw them away. I didn’t realize why back then… but now I do.
Technology wasn’t just “cool” to me. It felt like possibility.
Life got busy, of course. Teen years, partying, growing up — all of that took the wheel for a while. But underneath it all, that quiet love for tech never left. Finding your true passion isn’t about searching outside yourself – it’s about noticing the things that have always been a part of you.
Reading this book brought it all back.
And it made me ask myself…
What was my passion growing up?
Not just “computers,” but creation.
Innovation.
Learning on my own.
Exploring new things.
Being drawn to anything that felt futuristic.
And now here I am today — building online businesses, creating content, designing product pages, learning SEO, crafting digital systems, and falling in love with tech all over again. Sometimes the most honest tips for discovering passions come from your younger self – the one who wasn’t afraid to be curious.
It turns out my passion didn’t change.
I just finally grew into it.
